Beginning a New Chapter

As I prepare to start writing the next chapter in this series, I want to take the time to thank my good friend, Candice Parkin. I would not have been able to do this without her. Being a former teacher, it was helpful to have connections to other staff who were grammatically inclined or well versed in literature. Candice was that connection for me. While I believe she is an amazing editor, she is an even greater friend. Our time as colleagues has brought us closer and this journey with "Evil Empire" has solidified our relationship. I consider Candice to be family, and I am lucky to have her in my life. This journey will be long and arduous, but it is well worth it in the end. Are you ready?
